Dear horse enthusiasts,
For 22 years I have been working as a physiotherapist for people. During this time I learned different methods of therapy such as manual lymphatic drainage, reflexology (based on Dr.Joost Thomas), manual therapy, taps and craniosacral therapy.
The therapeutic effects of craniosacral therapy are especially facinating. Due to this I devoted my studies as bachelor of science to this subject.
For years I have been horseback riding in my spare time. As such it I wanted to know if I can help horses using Craniosacral therapy. It is and I have professionalized my skills in this regards by completing the scholarship "Pferdeosteopathin by Barbara Welter Böller" in 2011 in Schneeverdingen / Lüneburg Germany.
But this schooling still didn't satisfy me completely. Therefore I familiarized myself with the training by APM Asian meridian therapy. In this therapy, no needles are set, but the energies are pulled out the meridians with a metal rod. In addition, one can also use taps.
But the Craniosacral therapy still is still my favorite treatment for horses. It is extraordinary how successful this treatment is for improving the gait problems or lameness, but above all the positive effect on the mind of the horse.
